Little Mom Lost

Monday Night as I let the dogs out for a final hurrah before bed, Duke the hound-Doberman shot into the bushes and started nudging something. I sprang to catch a glimpse and a baby bird was on his/her back screeching in horror. I yanked the beast off of the birdlet and ushered the dogs inside. I returned and flipped screechy over. I figured this little dumpling maybe fell from the nest. I did not notice any potential parents so I prayed that a cat would not eat the baby and left it there.

Hold the hate mail. I am not one to leave little birds to their own devices but just the week before, a nature expert Hülyea (note the oomlot) presented some harsh nature facts.

She claimed that mother birds at times kick
